Check out this kinky ceramic chainmail wall covering, “Meat Hook”!
Our friend over in East Los Angeles, CA made this amazing, time-consuming art piece out of clay and titled it “Meat Hook.”
The material he used was stoneware clay (aka stoney white), which was provided by Laguna Clay Company based in California.
The clay gets extruded into around 8″ logs and formed into rings, which he did 5 at a time. Once the rings are bone-dry, they are ready for bisque firing.
After the bisque firing, the piece was then lowered into red iron oxide wash which was fired to Cone 10 — in order to emulate rust.
This beautiful scuplture took about 3 months to make and it was even displayed at various art galleries, where he received some impressive offers!
