Need some intel on how to thrift for vintage wear, once the quarantine is over?
We spoke to our friend, flatTOPfinds, who has exceptional knowledge in the thrifting and vintage wear industry, and we wanted to pick his brain on what kind of clothes are considered to be vintage and how to/where to spot vintage clothes at thrift shops, flea markets and other hotspots.
Of course we all have to gain knowledge in the different stitchings that factories used back in the ’80s and ’90s, along with the different tags attached near the collar … but we were lucky enough to talk to someone who’s been involved in the thrifting community to share some of his experiences. He’ll get into some of these in the interview, so you can start familiarizing yourself with what to look for once the shops start to open back up.
flatTOPfinds, based out of Orange County, CA, continued to treat us with some tips and advices that can allow one to become an avid vintage collector that he became to be.
Make sure to check out the collection that he’s acquired over the years, and hit him on his Instagram @flatTOPfinds if you see anything you’re interested in!
