Tania Goldberg shared some of her ceramics with us and also shared tips on how to strive in the ceramics industry.
Tania Goldberg, professional ceramic artist based out of South Florida, was nice enough to let us showcase some of her ceramic work. Her pieces range from mugs to plates, and other home accessories with inspiration coming from international legends and folklore, as well as nature.
Our favorite piece of hers is actually something she’s currently working on — the sakura/cherry blossom mug. We love the details on this — I mean, just look at the handle of the mug! Unfortunately, this piece is still in the drying stage and we were unable to get pictures of the finished product.
We were very lucky to be able to catch up with her since she usually gets booked up for months whenever she opens up custom commissions. We know her time is precious so we are grateful she was able to drop some useful advice for any new artists out there that have a passion for their craft.
She believes that artists should treat their art as a job and there should be no days off just because you don’t feel creative. She also mentioned that doing research before every project is essential. She even studies the anatomy of the objects, and goes the extra mile by studying other artists for space planning and light, depth perception, and simplifications of light.
