Headless Gundam looms over Yokohama!
This is a dream come true for Gundam fans!!!
A full-scale Gundam robot with moving parts is currently being worked on in Yokohama, Japan … getting ready for the GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA Special Experience.

The life-size Gundam is based off the series’ first gen RX-78 model and will be about 60 ft. tall (18 meters). The robot will stand within a 80-ft. Gundam Dock — which will also serve as a multi-level viewing platform with shops, cafes and exhibitions.
The anime attraction was initially expected to open alongside Gundam Factory Yokohama at Yamashita Pier in Oct. 2020, but their opening has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Gundam Factory still expects to open “within the year” … and promised to announce the new opening date as soon as they can.
For those of you who are new to Gundams, there’s a life-size Unicorn Gundam Statue in Odaiba, Tokyo … but this one unfortunately doesn’t move.
In regards to Yokohama, there’s also been talks that a major Hollywood studio is opening a “Disneyland-style” theme park.
Stay tuned for more details!
