Murakami can’t stop, won’t stop!
Takashi Murakami welcomes an American artist to display his art in Japan!
The Japanese artist is most known for the art he creates … but he also takes pride in showcasing other like-minded artists’ work. Murakami has tapped Michael Reeder — Los Angeles-based artist — to display his art for the upcoming weeks.
Reeder’s exhibit, “4th Dimensional Voyeur,” is hosted inside Hidari Zingaro, one of Murakami’s gallery rooms within the Zingaro building also ran by Murakami … which includes his gift shop, cafe and two galleries.
The American artist told Hidari Zingaro … “For my exhibition ‘4th Dimensional Voyeur’ I aimed to continue my focus on the idea of an in between world and characters who represent the everyday human and their personal ghost, their ego.”
With the use of bold colors and thick outline of the unique faces … this is something many art fans can admire.
If you’re lucky enough to be in Japan, the gallery will be open from July 24 – August 14 (closed on Wednesdays), 12 PM – 7 PM.
Fans of Murakami have been spoiled during the quarantine. Just to name a few accomplishments … he’s worked on J Balvin’s chain, “KIDS SEE GHOSTS” animated series and some ceramic pottery … dare you to name something he can’t do!!
