Wooden bear rug … come again??
Are you still stuck at home? How about a nice lookin’ bear skin rug to accompany you?
Keith Decent is a DIY artist based out of New York, specializing in woodworking projects!
His most recent work is truly something else … a wooden bear skin rug. Seems like an impossible project, right? Well actually, KD was nice enough to publish a build guide video for this wooden beast!
The creative used reclaimed wooden tiles, an old drop cloth and some wood glue.
First, he cut the wood into small triangles and sanded each one down to a desired smoothness. Then, Keith cut his drop cloth into a bear-shaped silhouette. Finally, the maker started gluing down the wood triangles onto the cloth and let it dry. With some final touch-ups and an application of polyurethane … ta-da!
